Post 6: English language challenges
When I
joined the university, the English diagnostic test was one of my worst
experiences. I remember that the website had collapsed, and time started
running faster, I couldn't even read the questions. And I had no choice but to
do all the English levels. But, despite everything, in the last year I have
been able to learn a lot and make the most of it. I think, in the university there should be a
program that combines English classes with practical activities and trips. That
should make the classes easier, fun, and motivational helping the students to
feel comfortable learning and wish to continue to learn the language.
Unfortunately, something completely different happens in English classes. To be
honest, I love to write, but I never made a single effort to have anything
published, as it was the writing process that liked. In the beginning, when I
started blogging, I remember that I found it boring to write a new post on my
blog. But over time, I found them more interesting and a new way to improve my
writing in English. Currently, I am studying to improve my English and I will
continue working to learn more about English. When I finish university, I would
like to take English classes in Europe because I want to travel the world. Even
though I already have the basics of the language, I still can't speak English
fluently, much less start a conversation. I can understand everything a person
says to me, but I couldn't consistently respond in English. And also, I have
always had difficulty pronouncing words correctly, although I know the correct
pronunciation, when speaking I sometimes pronounced the words incorrectly due
to lack of practice and bad habits. One
of the best methods to learn and improve my English that has been recommended
to me is to watch movies in English with subtitles. And I am putting it into
practice. Also, I practice English every day when I speak with a friend who is
a native English speaker. He always corrects me when I pronounce something wrong,
and it has helped me a lot to practice my pronunciation. But I know it will
take me time to perfect myself.
